Music Video of the Week 41: Here is some typography genius at work. This video tells a tale of a taxi ride adventure, rushing a woman in labour to the hospital. The clever part of this video is that everything in the city is spelled out in words; cars are represented by the word cars and move as such. Buildings, streets, pedestrians and even the sky are all worded out, but symbolize the exact item they represent by moving and/or shaping of typography. Music Video of the Week 40: This is very unique music video. This is a hyper-slick homage to the diagrams, graphs, Figure A's, Appendix C's, cut-aways, flowcharts, tickers, safety-guides, Mercator projections, and systems maps that govern our pin-point predictable, charitable, diagrammable modern lives. Everything seamlessly connects to each other: Alarm clock buzzes, diagram of clock, ear listens to the sound, diagram of the ear, brain interprets the sound, so on so forth (and that's just the beginning).  Funny enough, it's very entertaining to watch. The simplicity does its justice and works amazingly with Röyksopp's irresistible beats

Music Video of the Week 39: Going with the same cinematic theme as last week, Alicia Keys' new video paints a controversial picture in mainstream hip hop and r&b music videos. The director smartly plays with period-film in telling a story of an African American woman having a secret relationship with a Caucasian boy. Hand-held camera adds depth and realism to the events in this film-video. The director ingeniously plays with different time periods, seamlessly blending into each other, to illustrate the unchanging perceptions on interracial relationships.
